Wow... This has been a busy little weekend for both of us.
On Friday, we began the first of a 3 day family reunion with the Harris'. That morning, Mike got to go golfing with all of his brothers and a bunch of cousins from all over the western states. We all met up again in Farmington for a big family Luau... where Mike's sisters and a few girl cousins did some Tahitian dancing. Then we played a few amazing games of Volleyball (and I only messed up about half as much as usual)... and after having a few races, we left around 10:30 p.m. so we could be back there for a Softball tournament at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. The next day was great; after our game, we all went to a church where one of Mike's cousins was baptized! The whole family was there at the font in our game clothes... needless to say, we weren't allowed in the Chapel, but the Primary room sure filled up quickly. Mike went back around 7:00 p.m. for a Baseball tournament that he been waiting all week for... This morning was the last of the reunion, Mike wasn't there to see this, but I got to watch his Dad and uncles sing and dance to "Elvira" (...giddy up a oom popa oom popa bow wow...). Hilarious!! Thank You very much MaryJo for getting that one on video!!
On Saturday night, I got to be the photographer for the Wedding of one of my closest friends, Ashley. She married her man in uniform... and it was beautiful!! They got married at Lomond View Gardens in North Ogden. Their colors were brown and pink and there were about 300 people there for the whole thing. What an honor that was... we've been friends since birth and it was so neat to play a part in it for her. I'll put up some pics so everyone can see how pretty she was in a few days...
So... this morning, we got up at 4:00 a.m. to take Mike to his aunt's for his trip to Aruba. ...Yes... only married a year and we're taking separate vacations (just kidding). He's going with his cousin Jonny and brother Jeremy. I'm scared to death right now though... all day long the news has been reporting about Hurricane Felix. Last time they mentioned it, it was a category 4, getting stronger and headed directly for Aruba!! I'm kinda freakin' out by this...
Well that's about all the exciting things I can think of right now...
Love,
Brit
